Hexagon slotted nut and screw is designed for use with the end of the bolt hole for the cotter pin from the nut of the slot into the screw hole to prevent the automatic return to pine nuts, mainly used with the vibration load or alternating loads occasions.
In mechanical design, production to prevent nut (or bolt) automatically return to loose the following methods:
1. Padded spring gaskets; (easy to do)
2. Slotted hex nut with a cotter pin +; (an increase of the machining process)
3. Plus pad spring gaskets; (an increase of the machining process)
4. Hex head bolt hole into the hexagonal steel wire. (An increase of the machining process)
